2026 Volkswagen Tiguan review
Great 28.3 mileage w 500 mile cruising range on regular gas. Seat comfort, engine performance (no turbo lag), quality, great quiet ride, ventilated massage seats, and tons of upscale standard equipment quickly made us forget our 2022 Audi Q5 Premium Plus Sportback with a 15K savings and even more features. Best buy on a mid sized luxury SUV. Would highly recommend!

2022 Ford Escape review
I purchased used '22 Escape SE AWD two years old, low mileage and delighted with my dealer purchase. Upon extensive research, I was aware the loss of market value, which is why I purchased used. This vehicle is produced in volume as 'low-end' entry among 22 field competitors. Yes, there are several vehicles out there higher rated, more expensive, but my research validated highest cargo storage - highest mpg, for the reasonable market price. You can benefit from this depreciation by buying used! Some complain of the transmission, or slow pickup, or passenger door side panels. I have had no issues after 20,000 miles 6/2024 and get 31.3 mpg combined which is stellar!! A great value for the used car price-not new price. I would recommend as a reasonable value, HIGH capacity SUV can accommodate 4 airport passengers full size luggage is my first Ford of 21 cars purchased. Styling is very attractive, good assortment of safety features. Rear seats slide for extended passenger or cargo capacity.

2019 Ford Escape review
I Loved my 2019 Ford Escape! It was my third Escape, as I previously owned a 2005, and a 2011! Sadly, it was my last as FORD's new version of the Escape is AWFUL! I NEVER had one issue with my 2019, and I drove over 94,000 miles over the 6 1/2 Years that I owned it! However, the resale value SUCKS! I know it's just the game they play at the dealers, but it's an ugly game where the consumer always loses! But - it's only money,,, and you can't take it with you!

I had four cars I was interested in looking at- David made sure to get them all ready ahead of time- to make everything easier for me to compare and contrast them. He was very genuine- he didn't give off any bad "salesman" vibes that make you feel pressured or manipulated. It was like having a exceptionally well-informed friend helping me pick which car was going to best fit my needs and lifestyle. He was able to answer all of my questions and was very patient while I waffled between two very similar cars. I would *highly* recommend working with David Lopez. Don was (obviously) excellent at his job- and made sure I completely understood everything we were going over. Overall, I had an absolutely phenomenal experience working with David Lopez, Don and everyone else behind the scenes at Luther Westside Volkswagen.
2025 Volvo XC60 review
Great first experience with a Volvo. We were looking for car that could possibly be a single car that would suit our needs moving into retirement. This car appears to check all the boxes for safety, reliability, economy and luxury. We need a mid dive suv that will give us comfort on longer trips as well as the economy of the smaller 4 cylinder without compromising power as provided by the turbo. The warranty and manufacturers maintenance plan are a benefit as well.

2020 Ford Escape review
I bought a used 2020 Ford escape hybrid titanium with 33,000 miles. I came from a 2015 X3 and I am surprised how well this car handles and feels firmly planted. I love the electric driving at slow speeds and you can hear the gas engine come on and it’s louder than my BMW, but I am still pleasantly surprised by the low level of road noise at highway speeds. Mine is Persian green, which is rare, and absolutely beautiful after I waxed it. The exterior is pretty good, considering its price range, and the interior is subpar with the hard plastic on the doors, but overall, the controls are very intuitive, easily reachable, and after I learned how to use all the options, my favorite feature is the adaptive cruise control with stop and go and lane centering. The car basically just drives itself, even in the city at low speeds. I just have to make the turns and stop at red lights and stop signs if there is no car in front of me. I also love the short stopping distances with the brakes, which feel great and confidence-inspiring, and the steering actually feels better than in my BMW, which was too light at highway speeds. Another feature that sold me was how much legroom there is in the backseat, especially the fact that you can recline the backseat a little bit and also push it a few inches back to create more legroom. There is definitely more legroom in the front and back than in my BMW, even though my BMW was a few inches longer than this car. I love the look of the RAV4 hybrid XLE and it has more cargo room, but if you check the user reviews, you’ll see that the Escape hybrid actually beats it in mpg and in my area, I would’ve paid $8k - $9k more for a similar used RAV4 so I felt like the Escape hybrid was a better value overall. I rarely buy extended warranties with cars, but I did with this one since it was such a good deal at only $4000 but it gave me seven years of extended coverage and up to 80,000 more miles, whichever comes first. Considering how tariffs will affect car part pricing and car repair bills, I thought this was a an exceptional value, just like the car itself. I’ve only had it for three weeks, but I am really enjoying driving the car and seeing how little gas it sips.

2026 Chevrolet Equinox review
The Equinox is a nice SUV, that can be fully loaded and still not break the bank. My Equinox has full power, A/C & heated seats, sunroof with a fully, customizable, large display panel. The rear seats are also heated and comfortable to ride in with plenty of room. The heated steering wheel wraps up the luxury. The engine is a little anemic with a 1.5l turbo and FWD with the CVT transmission. With one person, it is okay, but as you add people, the engine bogs down. However, the mpg whether loaded or not are fantastic with my average of 26mpg consistently. The ride is very comfortable and it competes with many luxury brands for comfort and ride. The design and sleek front end make it a very attractive drive. I would say that if you are looking for a fully appointed vehicle in the crossover size SUVs that won’t break the bank, check out the Equinox. Whether a daily driver, a small family or traveling, this platform provides high comfort and good quality that competes in this marketplace.

2020 Kia Sportage review
First off I would like to say that I am a huge car enthusiast who has owned many different cars in my 60 plus years. My most recent cars have been a 2017 Honda Pilot, 2022 Honda CRV and 2023 Toyota Highlander. The Pilot was nice but the CVT transmission drove me nuts with the way it jerked and shifted. The 2022 CRV was also nice but the electronics and bluetooth connectivity were SOOO bad!! The FWD Highlander with new turbo engine was a huge disappointment. I felt unsafe on curvy two lane roads.....like it didn't feel like it was gripping the road properly. It also had terrible turbo lag that was highly frustrating and dangerous feeling. When I would push it hard to get it going, it would almost skid out once it got going. The wireless apple CarPlay was its best feature but generally speaking the electronics were a nightmare and required a subscription to work best. You had to push multiple things to get to your radio and it was all so poorly designed. I had been having severe buyer remorse with the Highlander and started looking again. I drove a RAV4 and it was too underpowered and buzzy for my liking. Also drove a new Mazda CX-50 but was having a hard time spending the dollars on another new car since I would be losing on the Highlander trade. Long story short, we purchased a 2019 Kia Sportage EX for my college aged daughter in 2021. It was affordable, had good reviews and a longer warranty than everything else. She has loved it!! Turns out we have not needed the warranty even one time in these past two years. Only simple oil changes and tire rotations. She's away this summer so my husband and I have been driving her car periodically. During these drives, I decided I like her car so much, that I traded my Highlander for a certified pre-owned 2020 Sportage SX Turbo! I am SOOO thrilled with my decision!! The build is heavy and solid, visibility is incredible and driving it is SO much FUN! Feels like you're driving a Mercedes or BMW but at an extremely affordable price. The controls are so simple that I've not consulted the manual more than a couple of times. Everything has its own button and, although the car is loaded to the brim with every option you can imagine, it's all so easy to navigate and use. I didn't buy my 2022 Kia Soul from Kia Bloomington in 2021 because there were no cars available. But I did buy a car at another dealership because a salesman at Kia Bloomington referred me to this other dealership. Since then I have serviced my car at three other dealerships and at Bloomington Kia, and I'll be going to Kia Bloomington from now on. They're adequately staffed. They're organized and have fabulous customer service. They extended a warranty claim to me that saved me a lot of money. I trust their advice. Anyone in the Twin Cities looking to buy or service a Kia should give these professionals a shot. I am happy I did. And I'm not happy spending any money on a car!
2020 Volkswagen Tiguan review
This car is far superior to my previous 2021 Toyota RA4. In my distant youth I use to do some racing and handling is highest priority. Suspension, steering, 17" alloy wheels vs 15" steel wheels with hubcaps, full spare tire vs doughnut, 3 row seating vs 2 rows, 400 lbs heavier therefore more stable in windy conditions and roads that are not level, and much more. Only downside is the general Volkswagen issue with poor sound systems. Not only that, the after market is almost non-existent for the Tiguan.

2023 Ford Mustang Mach-E review
My first EV car. Not sure if I love this car or the fact that it is an EV. What makes this a bit different from a Tesla is that it still reminds you of a regular car in terms of gear shifting controls and displays. My car is a premium trim, dual motor and long range battery extension, so if you get a lower trim, the experience might be slightly different.

2023 Ford Bronco Sport review
Bought new. 50k on the odometer. Nothing of any concern has happened and Ford has a generous 10k miles between maintenance intervals. Stock tires on the Badlands did not last anywhere near their projected life. With the new tires I’m getting around 28mpg now. The badlands GOAT modes have gotten me through a lot of OHV trails and forest roads. The suspension articulates well. Anything I’ve dared to ask it do it has done.

2018 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited review
This is the best Jeep Wrangler model ever made. The past YJ, TJ, JK models are great, but this Jeep JL 2018 Wrangler Sahara Automatic V6 is the best one yet. The comfort and modern amenities are top of the line. The 8” infotainment head unit and Alpine sound system is out of this world. The interior fits my family of four and has enough cargo space for a stroller, scooter, Onewheel XR and beach chairs. The exterior needs no introduction with its iconic round headlights and seven slot grill. Followed by a three piece removable top, which I managed to take off and put back on by myself. FYI, don’t try doing this by yourself. My final favorite thing about my Jeep JL is the ability to customize the Jeep with all of the amazing aftermarket parts and pieces. This allows you to take the best looking car on the road and make it your own.

2019 Jeep Compass review
In my many years of car driving and ownership, I have rarely had a better vehicle than my 2019 Jeep Compass Latitude. It has been reliable, comfortable, fun to drive and, for its' size and type, very good on gas. In April, I will have been driving "Lattie"for 5 years. My upkeep has been minimal. She is pretty and still looks new. This vehicle is such a pleasure to drive. Handling and response are excellent. Controls are super easy to manage and absolutely love the heated seat and steering wheel. On a long trip, it is very comfortable (yes, I have ridden in the back seat, too) and fuel economy was just great...fully loaded with air-conditioner on and travelling at highway speeds gave me 30+ mpg. Really can't complain. My Neon didn't do any better. This is a great vehicle. Oh, and I had leased it new, and purchased it when the lease was up..that's how good this car is!

The moment I got the demo car onto the highway, I thought to myself, “I LOVE this car!” Which rarely happens. I test drove both the Model 3 and Model Y in snowy conditions, and had not a single bout of fear that I may lose control. A few weeks ago, when we were getting a winter blizzard, I was driving my Mother home from Boulder. It was snowing about 2” -3” per hour, people were spinning out all over the place.
