2009 Toyota Highlander review
I regularly take my HL for oil changes and air filter changes. But I only topped the fluids when needed. This year 2020, I decide to get the fluids changed, from front to back and top to bottom. While this is going on the mechanic find that the brakes are worn very thin but everything else looks good. So I part with about 900 bucks and feel that my HL can go another 100k....Yeah that's 90 bucks a year...lol... I love that HL...

After recently having a terrible car-buying experience where I was taken advantage of and ended up with a lemon, I was extremely cautious about trusting another dealership. As a single woman shopping for a car, it can feel overwhelming trying to determine who is being honest and who truly has your best interests in mind. When I found the vehicle I really wanted, I hesitated because the dealership?Arlington Nissan in Illinois?was out of state. I spent nearly two months continuing to search for other options, but nothing compared. Eventually I decided to take the chance and make the trip to see the car in person. From the moment I arrived, the experience was reassuring. Alex Reiss, the salesperson who helped me, was professional, respectful, and refreshingly straightforward. Even though he?s a younger guy, he handled the entire process with confidence and integrity. He listened to my concerns about my past experience and made it clear that this time things would be handled differently. Alex answered all of my questions, provided the reports I requested, and explained the 6-month Certified Select warranty, which helped give me peace of mind. Because of how transparent and helpful he was, I felt comfortable enough to move forward and purchase the car that same day. The experience in the finance office was just as positive. Dominic walked me through the paperwork carefully and made sure everything was clearly explained. I really appreciated that he didn?t pressure me into unnecessary add-ons or try to slip in extra warranties or fees. The process was honest and straightforward. Before taking the car home, the dealership also addressed a few service items I wanted looked at and completed a full detail. Kiah in the service department kept me informed about what was being done and when the vehicle would be ready. When I returned to pick it up, the car looked fantastic?honestly like it had just come off the showroom floor. The service team clearly took the time to make sure everything was done right. What stood out most about my experience was the team effort. Alex, Dominic, and Kiah all worked together to make sure my concerns were heard and that the entire process went smoothly. They treated me with respect, were transparent throughout the process, and delivered exactly what they promised. Buying a car after a bad experience can be difficult, but this team truly restored my confidence. 2020 Toyota Highlander review
Overall a good reliable 3-row SUV, with a comfortable ride, decent trip mileage, and good acceleration (good power train. Negatives are a poorly designed A/C condensor (Rocks kicked up will punture it releasing all the coolant) and very high wind noise at freeway speeds (hard to talk, radio has to be turned up very high).

Solid car that performs good under any condition. Great traveling vehicle for long distance drives. A bit pricey but the reliability makes it worth it, strongly recommend this be chile.

2015 Toyota Highlander review
2015 highlander limited. Its very smooth , the seat/mirror memory buttons are great , the auto high beams are awesome. Its easy to maintain, all the fluids and breaks etc are very easy to service right in the driveway. It has the 6 speed transmission that is known to be very reliable (unlike the 8spd trans that toyota came out with in 2017)

2014 Toyota Highlander review
I have owned my 2014 Limited since it was new in 2014. It drives like a dream. I would not trade it for the world. The only downside that I see in this car is the plastic workings for the dash and the seatbelt housing. They come loose super easily now. I am not hard on my cars, but the clips seem to have worn down over time. I know my Toyota will be drivable until the body gives out so that is why I am keeping it. I just wish the interior was a little more sturdier to match the price tag!

2015 Toyota Highlander review
It’s been a very reliable car the past 7 years. No issues mechanically speaking. Body style is great Mine has no safety warning features. My dislikes are the huge side mirrors and window frame. I’m 5’1” and they are a huge blind spot issue for me. Even my 5’10” son has issues. You cannot see the curb on a curve and you have to be extra careful to watch for pedestrians at thr crosswalks. And the nav screen/system and back up camera are USELESS during a sunny afternoon. The angle they installed it and without something to shade it makes it impossible to use. Actually dangerous at times. The only other thing is the road noise. It’s not terrible but next car I’m going for will be a quiet ride.

2023 Toyota Highlander review
I waited months, purposely, before writing this review. When I initially bought the car, I was scared because the reviews made it seem as if I made the worst mistake of my life. 6 months, 7000 miles later, the car running great. In the beginning, there was the weird shifting and lag but as time went on, around 5000 miles it had mostly smoothed out. After I took it for the TSB/Recall for a software update, it has been running perfectly since, no lag or strange shifting at all. I haven’t had any trouble otherwise. It’s roomy and comfortable for long trips. The third row is really for short trips(no more than 1hr 1/2) and for people 5’8 and under. The MPG excels on the highway especially on ECO mode with cruise control. I’ve gotten it as high as 33/34 mpg at 70mph on relatively flat land. In the city, it does terrible. I average around 17-19 even with slowly accelerations. My DTE is 290-310miles, 95% City driving. I’m sure those who use it on the highway will reach much higher. Despite the new 4 Cylinder Turbo, it has quite a bit of power and was able to take off very fast with a car loaded with adults (even in the third row). As of right now, the engine has been nothing but reliable. If anything changes, I’ll surely come back and edit this review. But for now, this 23 Highlander Limited Non-Hybrid, is a fantastic mid-size SUV and I recommend it now with the software update taking care of the shifting problem.

2021 Toyota Highlander review
We switched from 4Runner to Highlander! Many years of Toyota loyalty in our family. Camrys to Tacoma’s we have had them all. I stole my wife’s 4Runner away from her and replaced it with a 2021 Highlander XSE. It’s been awesome. Bought it brand new. We just hit 65k. We drive from northern Idaho to Scottsdale Az all year and at anytime. Yes, anytime. AWD Snowmobile. It’s awesome in the snow! 22-28 MPG on the Hwy. For those worried about driving a wagon looking vessel around that does not have the great looks of the 4Runner? Don’t worry about it. The XSE has a great looking front end. The XSE Model handles great and boogies. Yes, it’s quick and drives like a sports car. Well, it handles well not quite a sports car. Don’t get the regular Highlander. XSE looks different, has the JBL stereo and drives great. AWD with a Snow Mode. Oh, and it had a third row for little ones. Reliability - been amazing. Zero issues.

My 2021 highlander L I paid $27k @ 44k miles ih for it after 2 years taking it through ell & adding 50k miles (92k miles currently) im impressed by its 300 hp 3.4L engine but learned how important changing all fluild begor it starts to making noise and problems. I think as long as you change all fluids at by or before 90 k miles as milage it will continue to goFor 300,000 miles crossed finger . The dealer offered me 19k to trade in at this stage. 2015 Toyota Highlander review
We bought this car new in March 2015. It currently has over 205,000 miles, and I am selling it to buy a Grand Highlander next week. I still drive it back and forth from Iowa to Florida 3 times a year, and never worry about it making it. It handles great in any snow Iowa gave me, and last trip to Florida I averaged over 25 mpg traveling about 75. I have done all my scheduled maintenance at Cedar Rapids Toyota, changing the oil every 10,000 miles, and 1 tune up with spark plugs at 120k. Total repairs, (not maintenance), was under $450. 1 rubber seal for sunroof, 4 tire pressure monitors, and 4 sets of lug nuts, as they were rusting on. Truly the best and most reliable car I have ever owned. One reason I am trading up to a Grand Highlander is to get all the new safety features. My oldest daughter is buying this, because they know it surely has another 100k + of life left in it.

2023 Toyota Highlander review
Have had our 2023 Highlander XLE AWD since April 2023. Live in Chicago area and have driven to Arizona and Maine. Zero problems with the car. We put a large Thule box on the roof, multiple mountain bikes on a bike carrier and a kayak. Lots of luggage, got 27 miles per gallon on both trips. Plenty of power in the Rocky Mountains. Would recommend the car to others. We have a great Toyota dealership but all we have needed is schedule maintenance.

CarMax Grand Rapids (Kentwood) review
This review is about their buying process, not their sales. (I live >100 miles away, so I've never had to come this far to buy a car.) After my Ford Fusion Energi PHEV came off lease, I bought it out and resold it to CarMax. Their online assessment process was fair and painless, and they offered me a pretty good price for me car. But that was an estimate, not an offer. I drove my car all the way here expecting to be haggled to death and get a reduced offer, but--it didn't happen. They examined the car and paid me the original offered amount with no dickering at all. It was a pleasant surprise. Fast-forward to today; now I've got a nice Ford Escape PHEV. They gave a nice estimate when I checked online, so I bought out my lease and I need to get the car over here to sell it to them. I'm hoping history will repeat itself.
2023 Toyota Highlander review
We own a 2.4 Turbo XSE, has plenty of power to get you in and out of traffic. Just took a 10 hour road trip from NC through the mountains of VA & WV, performed like a champ up steep inclines and ride was very comfortable. We really like the captain chairs, easy to get passengers (inlaws) in and out. Had plenty of room for a wheelchair with 3rd row folded down. Really like the sporty look of Highlander. The 20" black rims compliment the look for me. I wish Toyota would've designed with dual exhaust to better enhance the design.
