You Never See Subaru's on the Side of the Road
August 5, 2018
This is the fourth Subaru I've owned, the third with a Turbo. Their reliability is legendary - they just keep chugging along. And now that more manufacturers are using turbos to meet emissions/mileage specs, it's nice to know that Subaru has been making their 2.0L turbo engine since the 80's, and have had considerable time to work out the kinks.
The AWD system can't be beat, if you like getting outdoors there's no better vehicle to purchase. It still gets decent mileage even with full-time AWD system, easy to drive, very comfortable seats (I drive ~35,000mi/year and have a herniated disk w/ sciatica, and these seats are a Godsend), the turbo models are like having a puppy that's always ready to be your energetic adventure buddy that you can count on through anything.
The only downside I know of is that Subaru often skimps on sound deadening in the cabin, so they're a bit noisy. This is less true of the Outback and Legacy as they're a little more upscale, but expect a bit of a noisy cabin in other models.
