Fitzgerald Auto Mall Wheaton review
Paul is the greatest!
September 11, 2023
By Cat from College Park, MD
Fitzgerald Wheaton had been highly recommended to me by a good friend; indeed, I was not deceived!
Paul is a wonderful car salesman as opposed to some that I have had to deal with in my past. He is a great asset to this dealership!! (And a most competent representative of said-company!)
I could not be happier with my little manual Sparky!
If you visit Fitzgerald in Wheaton - which I most highly recommend - be sure to ask for Paul: he will most assuredly find you the car of your dreams (and means!)...
Thank you Paul!!
2015 Honda Fit EX review
Great commuter, buy the manual 6 transmission

Owns this car
Great overall little commuter hatchback.
We got ours a few years old with low mileage due to the options we wanted. The other reviews are kind of silly on here, complaining about a car due to lack of options selected by the buyer. Yes it wont have heated seats if you dont get the heated seat models lol.
Our model is the EX, it has a sunroof, blind mirror indicator, heated seats, and a manual 6 speed transmission. Basically all features any high end model could use, I dont like leather seats due to the degradation long term. Just make sure you avoid the CVT transmission. Our area would not offer manual 6 speed on the high end trim so we had to travel out of state to get ours.
Few mods added to the car to make it even better:
- bi-led projector retrofit on headlights
- led bulbs all around, plates, interior.
- auto dim rear view mirror (easy wire in)
- front facing dash cam
- sirius satellite radio
- winter aluminum rims (instead of steelies), summer has factory 17" aluminum black/silver combo
- towing hitch (bike carrier) -- vehicle rated at 2000 lbs
Overall its been very reliable, super practical with the folding seats. It gets excellent fuel efficiency and fits everywhere. Power wise, its very snappy given with a manual transmission you can control it a lot better than the sloppy CVT. The manual does 0-60mph in 8 seconds or less, which is very fast for a little car. Its not a tesla or a GTR with 130hp but its plenty for its 36-40 mpg.
One issue ours had was the starter went out really early, but it was an easy change out, its a known issue. The seats are not very comfortable for long trips but thats because they are so small and its a commuter car.
The cam gear also can get noisy on these at start up, so they will rattle but has no impact to performance.
We have just over 100k miles on ours and its a very strong little car, will be getting another one of the final production year as this one gets higher in mileage. Again get the manual 6, you will not regret it, honda manual cars are semi automatic, the clutch is like a feather vs. a subaru for example. Totally worth it.
