2024 Toyota Prius Prime review
It's a fantastic vehicle, both inside and out. I get about 30-50 electric miles depending on whether I do freeway or side-street driving, what the outdoor temperature is, if I have AC on, etc. I get 50-60 mpg when the engine turns on. It gets to freeway speeds really fast in sport mode, but I normally stay on eco/normal mode - normal mode has more than enough power for my needs. Interior features lack the extra toys from the XSE and Premium trims, but I can live without them. Trunk space is adequate with the folding cover attached and only slightly better without it due to the sloped rear exterior. But I've never had a problem with trunk space since folding down the seats grants more than enough room for my needs. Cabin space is decent. No one in my family and friend group is over 182 cm tall so all of them can fit with ample head and leg room. I have no complaints with the handling, even at higher speeds. It's smooth, but outside noise does get a bit loud especially when the engine turns on. Charging is a tad over nine hours if using a standard 110v/120v L1 charger, and half that with a 220v/240v L2 charger. The Prius Prime is not built to handle DC charging, so don't bother with that. EV mode is good for up to 55 mph or so, and HV mode is good for speeds beyond that. The sweet spot speed for HV mode seems to be around 65-72 mph. Beyond that and efficiency takes a nosedive. The Prius Prime, or any plug-in hybrid (PHEV), isn't for everyone. It's the best of both worlds, but it's also the worst of both worlds. During EV mode, a PHEV is a less efficient battery electric vehicle (BEV) since it's carrying a heavy internal combustion engine (ICE) that isn't being used, along with all the other ICE components. It also has all the maintenance requirements of the standard HEV variant, unlike a true BEV. When the battery is depleted, a PHEV is a worse hybrid since it's carrying a big battery that isn't being used. Despite a PHEV's versatility between gasoline and electric usage, it isn't for everyone. It can run on gasoline only without ever charging the battery, but then you lose all the benefits of EV driving. You paid extra for the EV experience, so you might as well charge the battery. Final thoughts: the Prius Prime is a very good car, but only If you can charge at home. If not, then get the standard Prius since that one is an even more efficient hybrid.

2025 Honda Civic Hybrid review

2023 Toyota Prius review
I just retired and got my XLE 7 months ago. I was lucky to get it. Someone else decided to pass on it. I have some upgrades like the 12 inch screen and glass top. I would have never purchased a Pruis before this new model. So far, I absolutely love it. I don’t drive it like a sports car, so I am getting 53.5 to 54,5 mpg. It is amazing to spend $12 dollars on gas every two weeks instead of $30 to $40 every week like I use to. I really love the design. I have cutting edge silver. It isn’t quite as luxurious as other cars I have had but that wasn’t why I purchased it. I think it can last me the rest of my life.

2018 Toyota Prius Prime review
As our 2018 Prius Prime reaches its eighth year of life we can say that this has been an amazing car which is so great that there is no need to change to a new model with only 78K miles on the odometer. We have an extended warranty on the vehicle and for the first time has the vehicle required any service with parts replacement on the undercarriage. We have generally had a monthly gas bill of $3 or slightly more but Mr. Trump has see fit to increase that bill somewhat. What is amazing is that when the car is brought to the dealership for 5K service, such as oil and coolent changes and miscellaneous adjustments, we receive a dealership purchase offer which is about half of the amount that we paid for the car after receiving a small goverment kickback. But why change. I suspect that to be honest we have to give the one setback on the car which is that the front plastic bumper cover sits about a half inch or so lower than the top of the concrete barriers which are put at the front of parking places in parking lots. So, if you have to park over the barrier then backing off seems to pull the cover a bit off and it is a pain if not impossible to be it back in place.

2017 Toyota Prius review
The Prius is the last cat you will have to buy. The reason being is that this vehicle is extremely reliable. It gets over 50 MPG & it doesn’t have any issues or problems whatsoever. I was skeptical upon purchasing this vehicle, being 6 ft. 1 & 235 lbs, but it actually is quite comfortable inside. Overall this is a rock solid vehicle, it will not disappoint you in any way. Honda has been servicing my 2016 Honda Civic (with over 100,000 mi now), for almost 10 years, and this is the only Honda I trust my baby with. The Honda staff, especially Martin, the Manager, are absolutely AMAZING. They are always busy but welcoming, dedicated, and still show up with a sense of humor and a smile. Recently, engine oil was spilled all over my engine block and spark plugs while I was over 150mi away. I had to get the car towed back, I had been laid off, finances were tight and really didn't know what I was going to do. I called and was transparent about my situation and Martin assured me they would be able to get my car back up and running for an affordable price, and they did. But what was so meaningful is he also held a compassionate space for me to feel safe enough to share my vulnerable situation. They did a full tune up, removed all the spilled oil, and my car was running like new again, like Martin said, for a very affordable price. Shortly after, I took me and my 90-year-old Granny on a road trip 300+ miles away, one-way, and she (Honda Civic, not Granny) ran great. This meant a lot seeing that I was going to be traveling with my Granny. To have the full confidence in a car dealership is not always easy except when it comes to Honda of the Desert. I am very grateful for the Honda of the Desert Team! Keep up the awe-inspiring work. You are much appreciated!

I do all of my low end maintenance (oil change, wipers, filters) but I have found their recommendations in the past to be reliable and solid. 2013 Ford C-Max Hybrid review
PROS: Very good on the mpgs (although nowhere near the original estimates, in our experience) and has a LOT of zip! It's just an easy-to-drive, smooth, and quiet vehicle. We love the amount of interior space too, especially with the back seats down. Front seating is quite comfortable although feels like a mini-van, which surprised us at first... but you get used to it. CONS: Ford's Sync dashboard system on this model is just abysmal, and climate controls also behave un-intuitively. Car is an excellent driver most of the year but very poor on snow and ice; the smallest amount of sleet and ice can completely immobilize the vehicle on our rolling gravel driveway. Braking is very powerful and difficult to modulate—sometimes a gentle tap will throw passengers forward! Oil changes are a pain in the neck due to the large, cumbersome under-panel that has to be removed.
